A heartfelt "Thank you President Obama"

The letter below was received in a recent mailing to our household. My wife works for a major healthcare provider, locally. I am currently unemployed, so this letter came as a bright surprise to us. And even stranger is that I received a call 1/2 hour later to go on an interview Thursday. This is a direct result of the policies enforced by the Obama administration. Thank you so much Barack. Does anyone have any questions now, about his support for the middle class?

Note: XXX is the name of the company.

Dear Colleagues:

I am writing to share with you some welcome news about XXX's outlook for the future. The recent U.S. Supreme court decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act had given us more certainty, and has enabled us to prepare a better forecast of future payments for health care services. Specifically we can now rely on the new reform law to help us calculate future payments for Medicare patients, as well as to anticipate payment for services that we now provide to many patients who are uninsured. And the news reports are signaling that the U.S. economy is on the mend. We are moving forward in a positive direction and it appears that worst of the economic recession is likely behind us.

During the past few years, XXX has remained focused on ensuring a stable future for our employees. We were able to continue to provide a full range of benefits including our commitment to retirement plan contributions, tuition reimbursement and ongoing learning opportunities for all employees. We also were able to increase employee compensation, through at more modest percentage of increase that we enjoyed before the recession.

Now, with greater predictability surrounding health care reform, XXX is able to make some sound investments that will benefit our employees and are sustainable for XXX over the long term. I am pleased to announce that all merit-eligible XXX employees through and including director level what are on out payroll as of August nn, 2012, will receive a salary increase of 1.5%, beginning with their September nn, 2012 paycheck.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to make XXX a wonderful place to work and a community of caring people making medicine better for patients.

Do we support President Obama? You damn right we do. He did, however, have our votes way before this occurred. Initially I thought it would take 10 years to help us out of this "Bush" recession. We are now 3.5 years into it, and I can for once say, the future is starting to look up for some of us. 4 more years, 4 more years!!!

Signed.....

"Big sigh of relief"
