2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe growing list of great material for ads against Romney.
"I'm not concerned about the very poor."
"Corporations are people, my friend"
"I like being able to fire people"
"I'll tell you what, ten-thousand bucks? $10,000 bet?"
"I'm also unemployed."
"I make money from my speakers fees from time to time, but not very much." (only about $374,327)
"Let Detroit go bankrupt. If General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It wont go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed." (2008)
==========
I am sure there are alot more but these are best ones I can remember. Romney is a treasure trove of material for the Obama campaign ad makers. I bet they cant wait to get started.

I'm hoping that they are as smart as we are to come up with these ideas.
You're right, it's a treasure trove. Then, of course, there's all his quotes about Obamacare as it was being presented to Congress in 2009, about how it was like Romneycare.
I can see these as 30, 60, and 90 second spots, carefully placed in shows appealing to viewers who are independent voters, mortgage holders, auto workers, union folks, the poor, the elderly, or near poor, and the taxpayers in the 15-30%. (That should cover just about everybody except the well-paid bankers, speculators, insurance execs, and a few fools and die-hard Republicans who hate Obama just because he's a Democrat or because he's a multi-racial man.)

Romney recently said making over $374,000 in speaking fees is "not very much" money. It followed Romney suggesting elected office is only for the rich, clumsily talking about his fondness for being able to fire people, demanding that talk of economic justice be limited to "quiet rooms," accusing those who care about income inequality of "envy," daring Rick Perry to accept a $10,000 bet, joking about being "unemployed," arguing that those who slip into poverty are still middle class, and suggesting that Americans should somehow feel sorry for poor banks.

Obama on Wednesday said if elected president in November 2008 he would be willing to launch military strikes against al Qaeda targets inside Pakistan with or without the approval of the Pakistani government of President Pervez Musharraf. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf wont act, we will, Obama said.
Flashback:[Reuters, 8/4/07]
Romney Said He Didnt Agree With Obama on Taking Unilateral Action Against Al Qaeda Targets in Pakistan.
I do not concur in the words of Barack Obama in a plan to enter an ally of ours... I dont think those kinds of comments help in this effort to draw more friends to our effort, Romney
