Then it's over and we can return to lame-ass stump speak from Romney and Romney Junior.

(34,374 posts)1. I can't even watch MSNBC or CURRENT TV coverage
of this GOP orgy of hate, bigotry and lies. It gets worse with each passing election year.

(8,911 posts)4. The lies are so extreme this year the pundits don't know what to do
Do you fact check or marvel at their audacity.

(2,124 posts)3. It sucks
Its like lets see how many lies we can pack into each hour. I haven't watched any news since Sunday to avoid this. I bet MSNBC is getting low ratings this week.

I know Twitter isn't the most accurate gauge of audience, but, here we are, less than an hour after tonight wrapped and no RNC topics are trending.
and the TV numbers are kinda blah, too:
Howling wind, driving rain and potential damage in New Orleans from Hurricane Isaac hasn't yet dampened U.S. Republican convention media coverage, but early TV ratings proved only so-so while many people instead "tuned in" to social networks.
Republican fears that Isaac's battering of the US Gulf Coast would steal the spotlight eased on Wednesday, a day after a key speech by Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, stole the show from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.

Dems will at least have the benefit of going after labor Day, and I suspect viewership will be up - as it was when the GOP went 2nd in 2008.
