Look, if you support marriage equality and then support someone who's admitted he will actively limit marriage equality, you're no better than they are. Clint Eastwood is an enabler of this type of thought. So many people decry bigotry and then give Republicans a blank check when it comes to supporting it. If you support gay marriage, don't support Mitt Romney ... it's that easy. Supporting Mitt Romney, even if you have a disagreement on the marriage issue, just gives him the nod to continue doing what he's doing.

Mitt Romney is a bigot and now Eastwood is by association. Sorry, but that's just how it is.

This quote is now useless because Eastwood, even if he doesn't agree with Romney on this issue, is endorsing the idea when he endorses the candidate.

He's a libertarian. Not a moderate conservative. Does anyone actually believe that Eastwood's speech is not vetted beforehand? Don't you remember his recent rant that went viral? It was NOT even close to calling out the republicans.. it was basically they're platform, but with some libertarian bullshit anger in there.

it occurred to me just a minute ago that we haven't heard his speech yet.

And you cannot throw the baby out with the bathwater and you don't have to agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD that comes out of someone's mouth.

I do not agree with EVERYTHING Barack Obama says or does. Do I think he is our best bet? Oh HELLS YEAH! Do I quote him where I agree with him? Yes.

He's a grouchy libertarian that also doesn't support the majority of what Democrats support. Don't cherry pick on this one. You have to consider the person.

Ron Paul is "anti war" which gets him the ignorant young men vote, but they don't realize that he's also against every single social safety net, public schools, etc. etc. etc.

He just finished producing and acting in a sentimental-looking film....

... Perhaps the film sucks, just like the rest of this production, and Clint needs some mass advertising to get it to pay off. Just a wild-assed guess.

I know he's run for mayor before but has he ever done something even remotely similar to what he's doing tonight? Of course you can't be certain of what he'll say but his mere presence might have an impact on certain fans. If he's never made an appearance like this, then I wonder why now?

Maybe he won't, they already threw other libertarians out. Loose gun Clint embarrassing Romney by refusing to endorse would be worth seeing.
