2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIn 2008 the GOP Convention was ALL ABOUT "THE WAR ON TERROR" Do they even mention that anymore?
Remember that we were in the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression but the entire convention was about terra, terra terra!
So are the admitting that the whole thing was trumped up as a scare tactic/distraction? Or do they think that war was won, under President Obama?

(25,592 posts)Obama got bin Laden after 6 years of the bu$h administration doing basically nothing about it, except killing brown people for fun and profit.

(35,015 posts)She mentioned 9/11, but all I could think about was how she or any other GOPer can talk about Osama bin Laden. They can no longer utter his name, and you know they hate that.
Their war on terror bullshit is lukewarm now anyway; they have no argument that Romney/Ryan would be better than Obama when it comes to the bad guys.

(19,458 posts)..it's not a big deal to them anymore. They only cared when their inside pollster and Psych Ops people found that Americans were scarred and frightened by 9/11. Once it stopped being useful, they stopped using it. They never really cared.
