It's a refreshing 180 from the lowest-common-denominator sewage runoff that has dribbled down throughout the week. The eloquence and sincerity of Barbara Jordan 36 years ago is a stark contrast to the shameless circle-jerk of lies, deliberate distortions, drunken ramblings, and pathetic attempts at poetic theatrics which have underscored RNC 2012.

I really needed something genuine like this to help detox from four days of knee-jerk reactionary word-barf. K&R!

I remember listening to it in 1976 with an electric charge going up and down my spine. For me, it defined in clear, stark terms what a convention speech should be, and what being a Democrat meant.
