1. In a nutshell:

He never "introduced himself" to the American people like they said he would. Instead, he talked about his dad getting a rose for his mom every day---which is how she discovered he died: she found no rose and went looking for him. Mitt actually choked up saying that.

Then he started in with the $716B cut to medicare lie and that things are not any better today than when Obama was elected lie, etc., etc.

Than he promised he would create 12 million jobs with his "5 point plan" which consisted of nothing but Republican platitudes: 1) School vouchers instead of funding education; 2) drill baby drill; 3) cut regulations and cut taxes for "job creators" (the rich); 4) cut the debt (doesn't specify how); and 5)repeal and replace Obamacare (but does not specify with what).

And that's it. No details, no insight into Romney the man (other than that he may have daddy issues).

It was a big ol' bucket of fail (I posted this at http://www.democraticunderground.com/125182002).

You had WAY more fun than me.

ASU is kicking ass, better than I expected.

Anyway, Clint was a bit of an embarrassment, for all of us.

need to knock off SC. Your boys have the best shot at home, so how 'bout you get it done, then we take them down in November.

But he also called for a war with Iran, and maybe a return to the cold war, and in an incredible display of tone-deafness, mocked Obama for being concerned about ocean levels rising. Um, did you not hear about the hurricane, Mittens?

As for Clint Eastwood, you really have to see it to believe it. I felt sad and embarrassed for him. He debated an empty chair. People on social media are openly wondering if he has dementia, or if he is a secret Democrat who was sabotaging Mitt's convention deliberately.

Just watch Clint Eastwood's speech on youtube and you will understand. Mitt promised 12 million new jobs and threw some red meat to the base. He offered practically no specifics on anything. He shouted at the end of his speech for more energy but it was awkward. Eastwood stole the night, not in a good way.

Millions of Baby-boomers will retire at age 65. A lot of promotions will be offered to actual employees, and these employees current jobs will have to be taken by 'new' workers.
