3. The Republicans kept building this "mystery speaker" up like it was the second coming of Christ.

And this is it? An old man who could barely put a sentence together, talking to an imaginary man, and making shit up about what he's done and what he stands for.

And the knuckle draggers in the audience likely left feeling pretty good about their party. That's what's really scary.

How did a party of alleged adults regress into this population of narrow-minded, bigoted a-holes with no ideas and with the objective of spewing lies and hate, taking this country down in the process?

I guess it accomplished one thing--you're not hearing much about Romney's speech, and maybe that's what the Republicans wanted.

Now, for post-convention strategy--there needs to be a resurgence of talk about Romney not releasing his tax returns and Ryan's motives to gut Social Security and Medicare. There will be no more big stage for them to spin their propaganda from here to the elections. And I'm confident Biden will eat Ryan's lunch and Obama will destroy Mitt in the debates just on substance.

6. I heard on the news that it was rumored the "mystery speaker" would be a hologram of Reagan.

Oh, that would have been great! Watching hundreds of people in the RNC audience having a collective orgasm over a president who was 180 degrees from what they claim to stand for:

Reagan cut our taxes. FACT: He also hiked them 11 times.

Reagan was a fiscal conservative. FACT: Record budget deficits. Tripling the national debt. Went from world's larges creditor nation to largest debtor nation.

Reagan shrank the size of the federal government. FACT: More than 30,000 federal jobs were added under his presidency. Speaking from personal experience, federal farm programs were more detached from the market, more bureaucratic, and more expensive than any farm programs before them.

Reagan put America back to work. FACT: He didn't create any more new jobs on a per-annual basis than Jimmy Carter, who's regarded as an economic failure by Republicans. There were 18 million jobs created under Reagan, compared to 9 million under Carter.

Reagan stood for conservative family values. FACT: He's our only divorced president. Check the date he and Nancy were married and the date their first child, Patti, was born. (Hint: the two events were less than 9 months apart).

Republicans have to be the most gullible people on Earth. Just tell them what they want to hear and they'll believe it. Cripe, they'll run through mountains over it.

Hey Eastwood, that's a basal cell carcinoma on your face. Better get that looked at.
