Bachmann: ‘I was the perfect candidate’

There was one perfect candidate in the GOP presidential race, says Michele Bachmann.

The Minnesota congresswoman, who dropped her White House bid after placing sixth in the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, told Bloomberg TV’s Al Hunt in an interview that aired over the weekend that GOP primary voters had their chance, but they missed it.

From the interview transcript:

HUNT: You are remaining above the fray. But you sat in, in almost a dozen debates with these people. You have a feel for them. Let me ask you this. Who is the more conservative of these four candidates left?

BACHMANN: I was. I was the perfect candidate.

She could well be perfect for something. I don't pretend to know what, but President was not it.

People rail about the ideological horrors of candidates and elected officials. The only person that is 100% correct on the issues is yourself. You agree with all of your positions and everyone else is wrong.

Of course she thinks she is ideologically perfect.
