I haven't seen a single article or headline about his speech on any of the major news sites. Looks like it's up to us to spread the word. Post it on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, tell your friends and family, SPREAD THE WORD. #BreakEmUp
EDIT: Looks like the Sanders campaign had the same idea. If you're on Twitter or Facebook use the hashtag #BreakEmUp

(11,833 posts)and my friends who are O'Malley and Clinton supporters, please consider taking some time to watch this speech that Sanders gave in New York City. Maybe watch the first ten minutes and last ten minutes if you're so inclined.
There was a time when I was growing up, when I'd hear about people saving money from their jobs. Maybe putting some away for retirement. Maybe saving enough to put down some money toward buying a home. Or even playing in the stock market, buying 100 shares of this stock or that stock, in the hope that it would increase as time went on. The job where they worked helped them provide security for themselves and their loved ones.
All of us here who care for liberal policies upon which President Obama has had success (in my humble opinion) should remind ourselves of liberal policies and principles, and of why we care enough about politics to post at this often whacky message board. I believe if you open your hearts and minds enough to allow yourself to hear all or parts of this speech, you'll consider that this Bernie Sanders guy is one of us. He is saying we can have better government that is not afraid of asking more from our most privileged classes, the ones who are fortunate enough to benefit from many of the great aspects of our country.
Regardless of who you vote for in the primaries, I believe we'll all benefit by participating. I believe the democratic party can continue having relevance with a lot more people like Bernie Sanders getting involved, participating in the political process to make government more responsive to our needs. Of the people, by the people and for the people. We need thousands and millions more like Sanders, who take that seriously, and vote as if their lives depend on it.
Personally, I was very inspired by President Obama to care more, to get more involved. I try to live that personally, in my offline life. I know many of you do as well. I feel we'll all benefit when more people are participating in the presidential primaries and well beyond, into local and personal involvement wherever one is able. Also to assist our brothers and sisters who are not so able. Thanks for listening.
Uncle Joe
