2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump's show tonight in Burlington, a deliberate effort to cause trouble!
The staff of the Trump campaign had issued 20,000 tickets for his event tonight. The venue holds only 1,400 people. How was this not a deliberate effort to cause problems? Free mass coverage for him and his disgruntled followers. Free publicity. Not fair to those misguided people who might want to listen to this blowhard.
I understand there is a possibility that the police will order the event canceled. If that happens, his staff will capitalize on that too.
A win for the Donald.
To those who follow his misguided BS, good luck.

(5,792 posts)to put it to another candidate. He's in Bernie's territory and he did that on purpose...like trying to slap Bernie one...ha ha even in your town I get thousands of your people to support me...so not so quietly he is attacking Bernie. It is so obviously a ploy and deceitful which is par for his course.

(12,293 posts)I sure hope no one gets hurt. I love Vermont. My son goes to college in Montpelier.... He is home on break so I'm grateful he is away from the upcoming trouble. He is active with the school Democratic Group...

The first person to show up got in line at 430am. It was a Bernie supporter. There's hope to disrupt the event from the inside.

(30,481 posts)First person in line was an awesome Sanders supporter. They interviewed him.
They also said he was trying to show might. Sanders has an office right there.
A win for Sanders. A wash for Trump. And a fun time had by some people in Vermont. They showed a good contingent of Sanders supporters protesting.
