We Bernie people think for ourselves. We are not groupies following celebrities. We are not Obamabots supporting him without thinking. We look at the issues and make our judgements. In our view Bernie is right on the issues. Hillary is not. Thank you for pointing out the intellectual laziness of many Hillary people. This is a poor reflection of our society.

Have been voting for the lesser of 2 evils my entire adult life. For once I have someone I can feel good about. Someone who has been true to democratic principles his whole life. Someone who is honest and doesn't need to exaggerate to win over voters. Someone who wants to repair the damage Bill Clinton did when he repealed Glass Steagall. Someone who isn't scared to vote no about going to war. Someone who actually wants to protect the working class more than break a glass ceiling.

Take these lists. Compare them to 2008. Then list how many quickly moved to Obama, after she dropped out. Now that would be a list to view.

Oh wait, in 2008, during her entire campaign, she never amassed 1/5th of the number of endorsements that she already has.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hillary_Clinton_presidential_campaign_endorsements,_2008

BUT, if that is what lets you sleep easier at night. Knock yourself out.

I know many on your side put such high hopes on those cute internet polls, nice turnouts for his speaking events, so I can understand why the shock is to much to bear as reality is finally settling in.

It's her policy, and record that does.

Now, to say that many of those progressives in that MASSIVE list who do support her, do so for that very reason would be a more astute statement.

I mean really, just because Ben Cohen supports Senator Sanders doesn't make him any more of an ice cream maker either!

Fri Jan 8, 2016, 09:08 AM
Jan 2016

The political establishment might like her but among a good portion of the electorate there is not much enthusiasm and if anything a complete disdain for her.

In other words, she's a loser in the GE.

And I might add and something to consider, Sanders can win without previous Clinton Supporters, but Clinton cannot win without Sanders folks.

With Clinton you can look forward to lots of disdain towards Sanders. Right now they are working on preventing Clinton from winning the nomination because they would have a much easier time defeating Sanders in the GE.

andrewv1

(168 posts)
41. And how's that?
Fri Jan 8, 2016, 10:15 AM
Jan 2016

1. Young voters & independents will come out for Sanders, but not for Clinton.

2. Sanders has an overall favorable standing throughout the country; Clinton does not.

3. Sanders does not carry the baggage into the GE that Clinton does.

And who's preventing Clinton from the nomination?
The mainstream media? Sure, I didn't see her cut off on a reply repeatedly in a debate on an obscure Saturday night like Sanders was.
And Fox News? They would love to have Hillary as the nominee.....She's "easy pickings"

If she is the nominee, it won't take much time to figure this out.

I guess that's what you get with a 74 Year Old.

Anyway, I do have to tell you I'm from TX & met & supported Richards enthusiastically.

And nothing against you, but I don't think she would have been too happy with what the Clinton's have been about in the last 10 years.

Somebody who was such a "Straight Shooter" like Ivins, I believe would have a problem with how they currently operate.

Clinton has the right kind of experience to be president, American voters say 63 – 35

Clinton is ahead on another key measurement:
Voters say 59 – 32 percent, including 86 – 10 percent among Democrats, that she has a good chance of defeating the Republican nominee next November.
