Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders Even in Early Races, Poll Finds

Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are deadlocked in both Iowa and New Hampshire three weeks before voting begins in the 2016 presidential race, while the Republican primary contest remains tight in Iowa, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist poll finds.

Mrs. Clinton holds a slim, 48%-to-45% lead over the Vermont senator among likely Democratic caucusgoers in Iowa, the survey finds. Mr. Sanders edges the former secretary of state among likely primary voters in New Hampshire, 50% to 46%. Both leads are within the poll’s margins of error.

On the Democratic side, Mr. Sanders has opened up big leads in Iowa and New Hampshire among independents who say they’ll participate in the Democratic contests, while Mrs. Clinton notches big edges among Democrats. In both states, Mrs. Clinton posts big leads among likely participants age 45 and older, while Mr. Sanders posts even bigger leads among younger voters.

The Journal/NBC/Marist poll suggests Mr. Sanders would be a stronger general-election candidate than Mrs. Clinton. Among registered voters, Mr. Sanders posts big leads over Messrs. Cruz, Rubio and Trump in New Hampshire and leads Messrs. Cruz and Trump in Iowa. He and Mr. Rubio are tied in Iowa.

those margins are much, much wider than the corrupt corporate owned pollsters allow. Can't make HRH look bad at this point in their horse race. Bernie will win IOWA and NH in landslides and go on to win Nevada. Then the corrupt corporate owned pollsters will have no choice but to admit their polling is sorely obsolete, flawed and disingenuous.

thing is it's likely voter.this is election where likely voter model is wrong.many of bernie's supporters don't fit likely voter model.
they are young or independent or first time voter of are republican or vote third party but switching to vote for bernie.

Bernie will win iowa and NH.and then Nevada becomes battlefield.

Clinton out of first 4 contests may only win SC.and that may end up a closer victory than people once thought.

If you saw the familys first forum Bernie had great reception from black voters there.Especilly when he called out trump for
his birther comments on Obama.

In Iowa enthusim will matter.give me some evidance that clinton has enthusim outside of MSM polls.because i can't see any.

9. It's about excitement for what Bernie stands for ...

... and it is a reaction to the feeling of the Clinton establishment steamroller trying to make us be for her.

The Hillary machine is making the same mistake it made eight years ago -- all of these endorsements, the big money, the smugness and condescension, the haughty attitude, the catering to corporate powers, the 'inevitability' arguments -- these things make average activist Democrats want to resist and not be assimilated.

Poor Hillary.
Too long in the tooth, too long on the national stage, too old fashioned, too rich, too conceited ... the more people are reminded of her and see her on the campaign trail the more they realize that they don't like her and that we need real change in this country.

And Sen. Sanders for all his mussiness and in spite of his chronological age is saying and talking about the things that young people and dynamic progressives get excited about. Sanders is new at this presidential level on the national stage, that makes him interesting and evocative of candidates like Kennedy and Obama.

Good for the Democrats for waking up and not becoming like traditional Republicans and getting in line with the conservative cushion of "it's her turn".
