(110,159 posts)or having to change is ... sigh, having to be vulnerable? like a man isnt, and continually denies it and pretends it is just a wimmins thing?
i do not know where it si from, who started it, but, it is silliness to listen to what these men are saying and suggest it is "changing" who men are. and THAT is part of the problem with our nation. and THAT is the purpose for people to listen to the video.
how totally silly.
now, can i see some funny skits with this? sure.

(115,103 posts)so are 'men' and 'masculinity'... it's a very basic flaw in logic.
Women decided decades ago to fight the idea that femininity was the same thing as womanhood.
That still hasn't happened on a large scale for men. We still see some conservative/old fashioned types who insist that being a woman means being nurturing and graceful and having some kind of innate liking or talent for domestic work. Mostly those ideas are ignored and dismissed. The same is not true for the idea that being a man means being strong and tough and emotionally stunted and willing to fight.
That is changing though. Check this out from last year.
