Anyone else bothered by this?

http://laughingsquid.com/pranksters-sweep-strangers-off-their-feet-greet-them-with-a-kiss/

Young men approaching random, unknown, young women from behind, in public, and picking them up to kiss them. I couldn't watch the whole thing, but it appears that they only showed women who didn't seem to be bothered. I wonder how many of them actually were bothered, but didn't feel that they could show it?

I know the 20-year old me would have belted them if they tried to pull any of that shit on me. I wonder how many of these guys got clobbered in the process? Of course they would edit that out. But honestly, what gives them the idea that something like this is okay? That women are there for the taking? It's disgusting.

Fortunately, every single comment was negative.

At the risk of disclosing my secret identity, my comment was to the effect that I can't wait for the video of their ass-kicking

Brings to mind the brouhaha months back over this incident and whether it was OK:

IT IS NOT OK to grab somebody and kiss them without their consent. It just isn't.

My inclination would be to punch anybody who did that to me. What they would actually get is a harsh verbal dressing-down. I can't even stand it when people I *know* do this to me. I have been in relationships with people who though it was funny to just randomly grab my ass from behind without me knowing they were there. It scares the SHIT out of me and feels like a violation, even from someone I know and have been known to have sex with.

It makes no difference if she forgave him, or if his wife forgave him. None of that changes the fact that it was wrong.

And if we weren't all raised in a culture where abusive relationships, sexual assault, and even rape are romanticized, I doubt anyone would be so forgiving, or that anyone could even see the image for anything other than what it actually is.

and I thought it was sweet.

When I learned the story behind it, I was appalled.

The women in the video appear to feel they are in a safe environment, IMO. They are not reacting as quickly or as forcefully as I would expect if this was in a random public space.
