A Voice for Men doubles down

(love this)

A Voice for Men doubles down: how dishwashers, TV dinners, and marital rape laws are rendering women obsolete. Also, the apocalypse.

We met new A Voice for Men writer Clint Carpentier earlier this week, when we took a look at a recent post of his waxing nostalgic about the good old days before marital rape laws, when wives couldn’t say “no” to their husbands and expect the law to take this no any more seriously than a husband intent on rape.

In a second posting, he’s doubled down on the whole marital rape thing and incorporated into a vast and fantastical vision of the past and future of humankind that bears so little resemblance to reality that it’s worth quoting in detail as a sort of case study in Men Going Their Own Way delusions.

Carpentier, clearly a Man Going His Own Way From Reality, begins with a brief and erroneous survey of human prehistory that he seems to have picked up at the University of His Own Ass:

The concept of marriage is relatively new to the human species, but was based on the ancient contract emotionally agreed upon by our primitive ancestors when they discovered that due to their big brains, their offspring were born less mature by necessity than other, less intelligent species; this contract promoted the exchange of three C’s (cooking, cleaning, and copulation) from the female, and three P’s from the male (protection, provision, and progeny).

So not only is Carpentier returning to his notion that compulsory copulation is proper wifely duty, but he apparently thinks that the prehistoric “wife” sat around the cave all day eating neolithic bon bons while her husband marched off to hunt mammoths for her — or perhaps commuted by foot-powered car to his job as a Brontosaurus crane operator at Slate Rock and Gravel Company.

2. I think they should avidly pursue their women-free lifestyle.

What is stopping them?

(I'm guessing that most of them are already involuntarily living women-free, hence their bizarre hatred.)

reading the excerpts of Capentier's writing made me laugh ... in a sad kind of way.

Then, I got to this (though it was stated over and over again ... in different words):

Women have inadvertently been reduced to gestational incubators; everything else, men can take care of on their own.

All I could think is hopeful, there is not a woman out there that would make that, even a possible consideration, for this jerk. And, if there is, I hope she gets into therapy with the quickness.

And I suspect ... he is already "tak(ing) care of the rest", including the copulation part.

will leave us the fuck alone finally? Then I say go for it ass clown.

I can't spend any time on this site anymore with all of this stuff here. It is making my life just an upset mess. Besides the triggers there are all the anti authoritarian issues I have because of how I grew up under a weak and compliant, submissive mother and an archaic, angry, abusive father. I check in because I want to see what is going on and get a good amount of news from around the globe but I can't stay long enough to read sometimes.

This kind of man sucks the life out of anyone who has not already had the life sucked out of them by one of their kind. May they enjoy their robot and when the heater goes out we will see how they like the feel of cold metal encasing their egos and tiny minds. Hope the repair women are way way too busy to just run over and fix it up for them.

Sorry, this place has sent me over the edge lately.

I got quite messed up, bought a new computer and it did not work. I have been without and trying to post little bits here and there with an old tablet with a broken screen. In the meantime they fixed my computer but I lost some stuff including email addresses and yours was among them. I just have been totally out of it lately and this does not help. I still may have something of yours stored away but I just got this back a few days ago and have not looked yet. I will send a note to you if I do find it.

I have begun to give up, hermit myself as much as I can on my farm and hang with people who don't believe in this manner. They are like trying to convince fundamentalists that LGBT people are not bad, sinful or different. They will not listen and neither will the men who believe these things. I think we as women really need to pull together but these days that is difficult and there are also many who feel pretty damned done with it all.

I just turned 60 this week. I don't give a flying fuck what any of these men think of me but I do care that they control the agenda much of the time. I dunno, I guess I am up and down but enough of this just puts me in a place where I just don't care anymore. I know what I will and will not do. They can legislate what they want but I will do what I am going to do. Period, end of story. They can't control us, we always find a way. Should not have to but we will. Fuck em. <---obviously this season is not going well for me

Such a sweet little puppy! Thanks for that.

really, really triggered by the 'soiled panty' vending machines.

Several years ago I ran across a very slick internet photo-essay piece presented by a woman, produced with funding from Playboy, that was lamenting the 'laying off' of 'underpaid, under-appreciated' "swordsmen" in the pornography industry during the economic and housing collapse.

I kept the link for a long time and told women about it when it seemed appropriate for the conversation, but I deleted it at some point when it seemed that nobody really 'got' why it upset me so much. I can't find it again easily, and I wouldn't link to it now if my life depended on it, yet it stays with me in my gut and my heart and my soul - I cannot shake it.

The 'essay' informed us that male porn 'actors' were being replaced by machines that were designed to penetrate women's orifices with any number of objects. The photo part of the 'essay' showed us the machines (through a fuzzy lens) and the way that they were used all the while explaining how porn producers were trying to save money. And how unfair that was to the men who had to make a living and were being replaced by machines.

If men say they would like to replace real women with machines, they're lying.
