Have you noticed

That every single accused rapist is innocent? Did you know a legal presumption of innocence makes an accused rapist immune from criticism on a discussion board? So this Heisman trophy winner hasn't been prosecuted and therefore is not a legally convicted rapist. Do you suppose the legal presumption of innocence will stop these same people from calling George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Henry Kissinger war criminals? Isn't it interesting how the legal presumption only binds speech critical of men who sexually assault women and not those implicated or not even charged in other crimes?

Could there once be a case of rape where we don't have to hear about how innocent the alleged perpetrator is? Would it be possible to once consider that a rape victim might not be a lying "b...h" "setting up" some poor innocent man?

I haven't been following the story but just looked into it.

Maybe star athletes are a protected class.

Because I knew nothing at all before today, just a little while ago.

Go ahead and post, let me know when you do and I'll kick it and reply.

I read that the medical report determined the victim had bruises and wounds on her body. There was also a video, presumably of the assault, that was on the phone of another football player who destroyed the evidence. One of the reasons given for not prosecuting was that the young woman had had sex with her boyfriend earlier in the evening. How that makes a difference, I have no idea.

They didn't bother looking at video footage for over 30 days, didn't interview witnesses, and sat around doing fuck all to let the asshole get off.

In this or other rape cases that local authorities throw. Clearly there is an ongoing pattern of violating the civil rights of women by refusing to take these cases seriously. Do you know of a case where the federal government has stepped in over a rape case?

I have purposely steered away from this story as I have been busy with "seasonal issues."
What college was the infamous trophy winner from? After reading the comments on this page, it's clear TPTB rigged the outcome. It all reminds me of that high class lynching of "We the People" by the Senate confirmation of a certain Supreme Court Justice back a couple decades ago.
