Is the men around here who think they have the right to tell me I'm not a real feminist because I care about human trafficking and rape. Apparently "real feminists" concern themselves only with the issues reactionary men think are important.

are afraid you'll say poignant things about. I mean, if they find those other causes so worthy of attention, GREAT. Then they can focus on them while we talk about the things that needs to be addressed to make the world safer for women.

For all its worth, I really enjoy seeing your comments in threads.

They try to divide feminists vs feminists, and quite simply can't handle a woman disagreeing with them.

It's surprising how they always put their friends in the "real feminist" category and then try to dismiss disagreement that way. If they do it right, they'll get the feminists to argue, too. That way the guys can avoid having to look too closely at whatever touchy subject the "mean" feminist brought up.

However, using their friends as tools to try to shut other feminists up is not good. That's just using feminism to silence women's voices, ironically.

If they want to be a part of the debate, it's better if they own their words, you know?

think they can tell their wife/girlfriend to either have an abortion or a baby.

Forced abortion and forced childbearing are both wrong.

And I'm pretty sure that's one of the big warning signs of abuse, too. A child can link her to the abuser forever, so of course it's a great tool to dominate her.

And an abortion (when it's not wanted) must be incredibly traumatic.

the shining beacons of liberal values that they are.

To me, though, personally? The scariest ones are the ones that rapes a woman and files for custody when they get out of prison. I can't believe that is legal!

It was a feminist one, and I do believe they took umbrage at the quoted b!tch word in one of the squares (again, pointing out misogynistic language is worse than using misogynistic language, doncha know.)
