He couldn't have her

So he took their 2 year old daughter, put her in a car seat, weighed it down with a tire iron and threw the baby into a lake.

In his mind the mother of his child was something to be owned. When denied that privilege he punished her by killing what she did love the most...a two year old child.

"This child was alive when she was placed in the water in pitch darkness, and had to suffer the unthinkable action of having water rush in and fill her lungs while strapped into that car seat," the judge said. "This child suffered before she died."

In this case, one of using one human being as a tool for hurting another human being. Killing a child to kill the soul of the mother. Transcends the need or desire for rehabilitation, moving straight to retribution.

It has been brought to my attention that my post was taken by some people as advocating torture. I said send him to prison for life in a way which highlighted the actual conditions in most US prisons. I backed off my initial reaction of capital punishment and advocated life without parole. The reference to leniency was meant as instead of halting his anguish for his actions (by ending his life), He should reflect on his extreme shortcomings as a human being for as many years as possible.
