Although I will say, harassment of Gay men in my town in Seattle seems to happen a lot less than certain areas, of say, Tennessee. When my daughters stepson came from an environment in that state where it was encouraged, we literally had to retrain him that you don't go cruising on Capital Hill and yelling gender epithets at persons you perceive as Gay.

How and why it wasn't OK.

But it's happened to some of my exes. I've lived in pretty gay friendly places (the northeast) but clearly it happens.

I think the kid thought it was fun. It wouldn't have been fun for him if he had gotten out of the car...
