For Boob Jobs: Head To The United States Senate Credit Union

You’d probably assume the “plans” refers to the bank advertising a mortgage for a home purchase, or perhaps a small business loan to setup that cafe you’ve always wanted to open up, or maybe the banks are reaching out to you about a loan to send your kids or yourself to college. However, if you are a woman and you received this flyer (see below) from the United States Senate Federal Credit Union, the banks have a different idea. No, you shouldn’t get a loan from them to start a new business or buy your first home. You should get a loan to finally get the breast implants you’ve always wanted…or maybe never wanted, but still feel pressured to get.

Front of Mailer

From the department of, “What were they thinking?” comes this mailer that a married woman friend of mine received from her credit union, which solely services current or former staffers of the United States Senate.

This well-endowed woman who serves as the model for the mailer—who of course has most of her head cut off—is surrounded by rays of light—as if her breast implants were a gift from the heavens.

This disturbing mailer is just a reminder to all those people who say that women no longer face discrimination in our society. No need to look around or dig for examples, no need for nuanced arguments or exploration, a perfect example is sitting right in your mailbox from The United States Senate Federal Credit Union.

handful of years and what we are talking about. a perfect example the times we live in that womens breasts is all important. no one would have thought about this, let alone executed something like this, if we had not created this environment.

We are just imagining it.

I'd say it was unbelievable... but I'd be lying.

It amazes me that despite decades of efforts by NOW, psychological organizations, etc. to raise awareness about this issue, we've still made so little progress.

Everyone does. It's the reason any individual conforms within a society which oppresses them. When they conform to societal expectations they are rewarded.

women like to use their sexuality to get what they want too. yes... we have a society that pushes and teaches. but... having thought this thru at a very young age myself, and saying i would not use sexuality for gain.... even i know, that is an ability we have, also. i thought thru the effects we have on our societal position and my responsibility in it. plus, i saw it as totally unfair to men and using another, which i oppose. i am into fair and balance. and just like i thought of societal effect on me and i rejected it, i knew that i could not have one's cake and eat it too.

if i want equality, then it goes both ways. cannot/willnot work otherwise.

if i want to be treated with respect, equally to men in the work environment then i cannot use sexuality to get my way....

if i want to be equal to a man in the dating world, he does not exclusively pay my way.

Didn't realize the subject had changed to women manipulating men.

13. Yes, but self-objectification is far more often simply about fitting in and conforming

For fucked up unnecessary surgery? WTF? On my floor we deal with a particular form of breast reconstruction after mastectomy. Occasionally, we deal with implants that need to be removed because of infection. For so-called cosmetic surgery on healthy, non radiated breasts the infection rate is about 2% according to this pubmed article.

I've seen these infections. Not fucking worth it. I know many people apparently find augmented breasts attractive, but at what cost? Personally and monetarily it's a lose lose situation unless the plan is to use the breasts in some way, for some type of profit.

This type of deal is direct evidence of the extreme damage of social objectification women deal with. So many are not even aware of what makes them want bigger boobs, not really.

Male attention? And what do males have to offer that involves equal terms? Not the holy penis or the sacred sperm, that's for sure.

Really? They couldn't get a better ad company than that? And what's with the dashed arrow pointing up – BIG – & the solid arrows pointing down – GOT PLANS? Wow. That's subtle. -not

Twenty first century "Off with her head!" has a whole new meaning! I'm just surprised they didn't include a shot of her naked vulva, too.
