Related: About this forumAvatar not working
I have a jpg, 6kb, and it won't load. I don't receive an error message. It seems to work. But, the avatar doesn't change
Any ideas of what is wrong?
Thanks for any help
Mary

(8,543 posts)1. I think it did work. This is what I get for your avatar image:
(although smaller and square)
Sometimes it takes a while for the DU servers to sync up the image files. I think avatars get uploaded to upload.democraticunderground.com but are usually served by www.democraticunderground.com - apparently the different servers don't sync immediately.

Computer Help.
Thank you. I guess just too much crap in my cache, etc

(8,543 posts)4. It could definitely have been your browser using a cached image instead of the new one.
The quick fix/test for that is to hit Crtl+F5 to reload the entire current webpage and not use any browser cached files.
I will do that next time I have the issue.
I am sure that will work with lots of issues. Thanks for the tip!
