Early on we know that Arron Alexis

had two shooting incidents in his history, one in Fort Worth and one in Seattle. In 2004 he shot the tires of cars parked on his street. In 2010 he fired a shot through his apartment's ceiling into the apartment of a woman he had complained about playing music too loud.

He had been discharged from the Navy Reserves under less than Honorable conditions for a "pattern of misconduct". He being treated for psychological issues.

With all this he was able to pass a background check, buy a gun from a gun store and get a concealed carry permit.

What is wrong with this system?

--above ALL else.

Our priorities are TOTALLY skewed. Until we face that, NOTHING will change.

but each time I purchase any gun and got my pistol permit I was asked if I was dishonorably discharged, I assume to say yes or if it shows on the background search the transaction stops.

Is less than honorable different from dishonorable?
