Sikh comedian does Captain America to see how people react.

So I read up on the Sikh faith and I'm only partly clear, but it seems like an older faith based on being a better person oneself rather than judging others. I think this aspect unifies a lot of various spiritual groups. When a person uses their faith to be a better person, who can really argue with that? (Well some will, but I think there are those that will argue just for the sake of arguing.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Virtues

On a warm sunny day in June, I stepped out as Captain America to mess with people’s perceptions of turbans and beards. This was the first time in my life I had worn a costume. Not even Halloween had tricked me into wearing one. And I had no plans of donning it again. But life has its own plans, and I found myself out on the streets again thanks to the motley crew at “Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell.” (Who, by the way, have been given the boot a week after airing the Sikh Captain America segment. I am ready to accept all the blame — except for the stupidity of creating a new mutant FXX channel out of FX.)

Captain America's appeal was novel; he was not born with great power, but rather had it bestowed upon him as a gift. The champion of freedom started out as Steve Rogers, a scrawny 4-F rejected by the army and then redeemed by a dose of a "strange seething liquid" that turned him into a strapping specimen of heroic young manhood. It cold happen to anyone, even the ordinary reader. And part of the attraction was that Steve Rogers never became excessively gifted; he wasn't invulnerable - he was just tougher and braver and smarter than anyone else.
