Sen. Elizabeth Warren Is No Sen. Barack Obama.

From the most-entertaining contributor on BlueMassGroup.com, our Bay State's flagship cautiously-left-of-center web community:

Don’t Let The Hillary People and The Republicans Fool You, Sen. Elizabeth Warren Is No Sen. Barack Obama. She’ll Win Over Reagan Dems. Establishment Scared to Death

So now the Hillaryites (disguised as pro Liz Warren people or disinterested Dems) say Liz should not run because the country will view her as another Barack Obama. A first term fluke senator who suddenly becomes the flavor of the week among the shallow ignorant self-impressed dominating the “progressive” wing of the party can not be paraded in front of the American people again. Just ain’t gonna work.

Don’t buy it. Just the old folks doing their devotions to the Blessed Hillary. They know they blew their chance eight years ago but hubris makes them believe the seas should be parted for her candidacy.

Screw them.

Face it folks, making Barack Obama President in ’08 was like putting One Direction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. Like them, Barack is a manufactured boy band who plays to a much larger audience. With Liz it’s more like a young Aretha just walked in the room.

A slam on President Obama AND an attack on Democrats that don't support Warren enough in their support!

I'm impressed.

to attack the President AND other Democrats.

So if you can't/won't explain what I did that respected EW, isn't fact-based, and/or uncivil ...you are free to do what you want to do.

You know, laugh in one's face. Seems to me that it's kinda like sticking one's tongue out.

If it bothers you to hear criticism of Democrats there are safe haven groups just made for you where everyone confirms and reconfirm how much they love Obama or H. Clinton.

chastising me for not understanding that Democrats don't walk in lock-step, in the context of this string is laughable, since the string was not about my objecting to criticism of Democrats ... But rather, being threatened (with being locked out of the EW group) BECAUSE in don't walk in lock step.

(Unless of course, the purpose of the EW group is to criticize President Obama and other Democrats ... there appears to be another Group ... that you frequent, and I avoid ... that for that purpose.)

difference between criticizing a politician or policies and criticizing posters. It seems to me that when someone criticizes Obama or the status quo or H. Clinton, the non-progressives attack the person ala ad hominem.

For example, your first post was, "A slam on President Obama AND an attack on Democrats that don't support Warren enough in their support! I'm impressed." Really? If you don't agree or like what he said, provide a counter argument.

IMO no one here asks you to agree lock-step with Sen Warren, they just ask that you stick to criticizing politicians and/or policies. If you disagree with Sen Warren, then say so. This isn't the BOG.

and the torturers and close Gitmo. I thought he would roll back the Patriot Act and never thought he would accept indefinite detention. I thought he would work to reduce the wealth inequality in lieu of bowing down to Wall Street. I thought he would have his DoJ go after Wall Street crime in lieu of persecuting whistle-blowers, journalists and medical marijuana users.

Candidate Obama is way different than Pres Obama. Frack Rahm Emanuel.

Don’t believe me? How about the dozens of “present’ votes he took in the U.S. Senate?

Obama was more like a sports prospect a general manager falls in love with. Guy should have stayed in the minors never mind starting game one in the World Series."

If he or she was one quarter the human being Barack Obama is he or she would be one hundred times the human being he or she is now.

twitter for anti-vax comments. I see that groups in DU will be monitored for anti-Obama and probably anti-other politicians, too. What an authoritarian world this is!

The Borg! Anyone who thinks that Democrats are going to be just like the Borg is going to be very unhappy. Or very busy, trying to impose uniformity. Which will fail.

Yes, Manny, I have noticed all of the Liz should stay right the fuck where she is and be a handmaiden posts. What is kinda funny is that yeah, some of us prefer Liz, but no, we are not waiting for a Perfect Candidate (I see that silly charge floated around, condescendingly) - we are hoping for a Not So Dreadful, As Far As We Are Concerned, Candidate. Evidently a difficult concept to grasp.

Also - hair not on fire, head not exploding, whatever oddly violent terms get bandied about.
