1908 or 1912. But his grandson is named Cary Grant and is just a few years old. Fun fact - his daughter played Celeste on the old 91020 - the little girl he had with Dyan Cannon.

I know way too much about Cary Grant.

I knew he had to have been no later than 1914 - because he was in his late 50's when he made Charade.

The correct answer is "Old Cary Grant fine, how you?" The story comes from the late H. Allen Smith, IIRC who interviewed Cary Grant in the early 1960's. His editor sent him a telegram with the message "How Old Cary Grant?" Smith showed it to Grant who sent the reply "Old Cary Grant Fine, How You?" back.
