Books into Movies: 2014

There are lots of good books being adapted into movies this year. Here is a Buzzfeed article about 16 of them. http://www.buzzfeed.com/ariellecalderon/books-to-read-before-they-hit-theaters-this-year Which have you read and which are you looking most forward to?

I'm really looking forward to Gone Girl and Dark Places-both by Gillian Flynn. There is big buzz over Gone Girl but I'm actually more excited about Dark Places. Loved that Book! It reminded me of the West Memphis Three case a little bit.

Speaking of the WM3, Devil's Knot has been tuned into a movie, too. I had high hopes for it, being directed by Atom Egoyon, but I've heard it isn't very good.

Unfortunately, the female director who is supposed to translate this delectable book to screen is helming the unfortunate film adaptation of that Shades of Gray abomination.

I could totally see Cate Blanchett and Daniel DayLewis in those roles, that's probably impossible.
