Had Jean Dujardin (The Artist) in it, as well as George Clooney, Bill Murry, John Goodman. Enjoyed it.

2. It is sort of a modern day Frank Capra movie. I think the critics were turned off by it's avoidance

of modern cynicism. That's not out of place in a WWII movie, imo.

3. No, it is not, you are right. Best part about WWII movies is the purity of thought.

I don't think anyone realized the full magnitude of the atrocities til years and years later. (assuming the movie is set
shortly after war ended?)
