What a great Celtics - Heat game tonight!

{ed. note: Been a Celtics fans since from way back. And I remember the 'Couz and Russell!}

Celts sucked in the first quarter....they were cold. 2nd quarter was fighting to get back in the game, and they closed the gap. But the secong half.....it just got better and better....defense fed the offense that breaks a game open.

Sam Jones...Bailey Howell...John Havlicek...Sam Jones - I was in the single digits.

It was also funny to hear my grandfather crap on the Red Sox (esp. Yaz) - that was always a mystery to me!

I listened to the game on my phone, ESPN - now listening to 98.5 Sports Hub for the wrap. What a game indeed!

Can they do it again for game 6????

Think you met KC Jones on the last Jones reference?

Might I add a few? Dave Cowens and Robert Parish, McCale, Bird? OK, we are into the 80's here.

Bill Russell was my favorite. Cousy retired just before I started following them. Heinsohn right after. Then there was K.C., Sam and his sweet bank shot, sixth man Hondo, rebounding and defensive stalwart Satch Sanders, one handed free throw shooter Don Nelson, Larry Siegfried and so many more. Lying on the living room floor watching games from the Garden on our tiny black and white tv set. The Russell vs Wilt battles were epic.
