Vaping flavors.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Does anyone here vape cannabis oil and perhaps make or flavor their own?

I have a little sideline making organic e-juice for e-cigarette vapers (nicotine, not THC), and ordered a bunch of new flavor extracts to try out. These turned out to be natural oil-based flavors, not organic water-soluble flavors like I wanted.

It was partly my mistake on the natural/organic mix-up because I was unfamiliar with the website, but it's partly their mistake because the description didn't mention anywhere that they're oils. However, all sales are final and I can't return them.

All but one are still sealed - and that one is how I quickly learned they're not water soluble.

If anyone here can use these for vaping canni-oil, please message me and I'll let you know what I have.

Your post falls flat, like many of the strange "friendly" networking posts that make this sub group.

Very few people in the USA can make cannabis extracts legally. Consider the cooking and baking forum...

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Cannabis extracts are legal here in California and a few other states with a medical marijuana prescription - and the flavors are meant (and labeled) for vaping, so I don't know how they'd do in cooking.

In any case, I found an MS patient here who has a scrip and wants the flavors, since making his own extracts would be much less expensive than buying his usual prepared ones from a dispensary - so problem solved!

Thanks for the input, anyway.

With all of the marijuana-based products being made recently, one popular product is hash oil. Sometimes called "honey oil", or "resin", marijuana hash oil must be extracted by a chemical process. The law has since caught up to this process and California has chosen to punish those to extract the oil very harshly.

The purpose behind enacting Heath and Safety Code 11379.6 was to punish those who engage in an activity that endangers the public by using volatile or toxic chemicals in the production process. Even in states where marijuana laws are lax, marijuana hash oil laws are becoming more restrictive. This is due to the growing fire hazards by novice manufacturers.

This law applies to extraction of resin to produce concentrated cannabis, whether that process is by means of:

Butane
Pressure cookers
Other inventive means to make hash oil
Punishment for Extracting Marijuana Hash Oil

Much more serious than marijuana possession or sale, the exposure under the California Penal Code is a minimum of three years to a maximum of seven years in state prison for extracting marijuana hash oil. If the defendant is granted or is eligible for probation, the exposure can be up to one year in county jail. Since it is not a qualified offense similar to drug possession crimes, those charged are rarely allowed to obtain drug treatment instead of incarceration.

How Does the State Prove Someone Was Extracting By Chemical Means?

The charge is made up of two parts:

The prosecution must prove that the defendant manufactured, compounded, converted, produced, derived, processed or prepared marijuana by using chemical extraction or independent chemical synthesis.
The prosecution must prove that the defendant knew of the substance's nature as a controlled substance.

They can extract it if they have a state licence though, and must do so with a sealed loop extraction system which is very expensive. Oil can legally be home extracted by 'non volatile' means like C02 extraction or Rick Simpson oil which uses using everclear. We are making a batch of high CBD RSO oil for a patient today.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]It's basically the same thing as making cannabutter, but with naturally flavored oil, and vaped instead of eaten. There's no "chemical extraction." These flavors are made and sold in California for that very purpose.

This patient legally buys the oil currently at a dispensary. If he's making it at home just for his own medical use to save money, what's to prosecute? I fail to see how this law applies here.

There is plenty to talk about cannabis without turning this forum into LEO friendly fishing spot, it's indiscreet and stupid and that's what I was calling out.

BTW who even dabs or vapes cannabis with a flavored extract. That sounds disgusting, impure and added to the ridiculousness of your OP. Now you want to argue that being involved with extraction making is not a problem after my cite. It's almost like your a cop trying to get people in trouble.

Strawberry flavor for your hash!

Like you said, your friend can go to a dispensary buy legal cannabis in many forms, that should be the last of it. Discussions that potentially could get other participants in trouble should and obviously were in your case ignored. I'd go further saying the forum mods should lock them.

There are hundreds of thousands of drug cops in the US with increasing less and less to do but troll for idiots on the Internet.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]You think I'm a DEA troll?

Okaaay, then.

You have a good weekend... or something.

PS - Cannabis oil for vaping already comes in flavors via California dispensaries, the current most popular apparently being blueberry. The flavor concentrates for mixing that I received included orange, cherry, chocolate, and coffee - but no strawberry. Sorry.
