It's unfortunate it's a small minority. But, I will take them. My conservative family members are starting to come around so we will see.

2. There's no doubt Republicans will like him because my Repub daughter is also a supporter.

There's also a story on Kos about another Repub changing their mind tonight.

People also need to clam down on the raising taxes issue as well. Bernie's integrity will sell the idea. And his high trust among voters is also a plus. People just need to embrace it and own the narrative instead of having it defined for us.

7. It won't hurt in the Democratic primary.

And it won't be that bad in the general. There's a movement a foot in both parties. The problem is most sane Republicans won't ever vote for Trump if he's the nominee. They also loath the establishment. Taxes, health care plans, campaign finance reform, those are all back seat issues compared to going after the crooks that took so much in 2008. Robert Reich explains that in his endorsement of Sanders. The tax issue once explained, and it was tonight, will be ok.

That said, the message does need some work but it was going to be said regardless and he gets it out of the way now. Waiting was just going to prolong the issue of explaining it.

8. I can't wait to see the next breakdown among D and R voters support of Bernie.

Seeing that there are "R's" supporting Bernie encourages me. And you have to remember, some of them can't stand HRC either. But if someone see's an obscure poll of tonight, please share it. Not just an online poll. We'll get criticized that Bernie supporters rigged the results.

How did you know they were "R's"?

9. But how to get the right message out?

Biggest problem is that they're only going to be exposed to the dog whistles: "communist", "free stuff", "taxes", "big gubmint".

Things like "money out of politics", "stop exporting jobs", and "stronger middle class" are ideas that should appeal to many of them. But how will they ever hear it? Not from any of the news media they consume.
