a $150/month credit, so I pay $575/month. But the insurance industry gets my savings and my taxes, so I'll calculate $725 X 12 = $8700/year. I'm in good health, so I don't have to pay out in big deductibles.

According to Berniecare, I'd save $8300/year.

At present, I'm taking out more money from my retirement savings than I need to make home repairs (about $10K more), so the annual amount may be lower in the future. Anyway, going with this year's income and calculating $575 X 12 = $6900.

According to Berniecare using the reduced premium amount, I'd save $6500/year.

Now, I only used premium amounts in figuring this out, not the copays or deductibles or prescription costs I'm spending, so I imagine I'd save even more if I included these.

Berniecare ROCKS!

If it means my best friend who is in danger of dying from no insurance can get some.
And Maybe I'd retire early, or take a year or two off.
