Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI just read an OP posted by a Clinton Supporter...
... in Greatest Threads it's gone now that ended with a snarky remark about it being all over but the crying for us Bernie supporters. SOP, no big deal. But the forty-odd responses were just oozing with malice. I mean, WTF? They're always screeching about how nasty and uncivil we all are, but the nastiest remarks I ever see are from their side of No-Man's-Land. Like this gem from a couple of days ago:
"WE DON'T WANT YOU AND WE DON'T NEED YOU!"
And yes, it was in all caps, and referring, of course, to Bernie supporters. Given the stench of Brock that permeates the belligerent attitude of so many Clintonistas, I am sometimes tempted to throw that one right back at them, but I will not sink to their level.
Truth and Reconciliation is going to be hard come by when the dust settles after this primary season.
Okay, I'm done venting. Have a nice day.

Shut up and eat your peas, expendable liberals.

(47,953 posts)They confuse winning with numbers. HRC could win every state from tomorrow on and lose in the general if people aren't excited and persuaded to get out and vote. I have seen this too many times from the party, relying on fear and cajoling to try and get people to vote. I believe this strategy is why we got crushed in 2010 and 2014. Obama, for all of his faults, knew that giving people a reason to vote FOR him was much better than only giving people a reason to vote AGAINST his opponents. Bernie gets this too, but he is fighting against stronger headwinds than Obama had to.

(7,499 posts)because they aren't getting me, for one. My husband and I are voting for Bernie in the Kansas caucus on Saturday, and on Monday are changing our party affiliation to Independent.
There is no way in hell I'd vote for HRH. Ever. She embodies everything I hate in Republicans. Interesting how that works.

(1,523 posts)The Clinton supporters are much meaner toward Sanders supporters than the reverse. The only time I seen a Sanders supporters attack a Clinton supporter was when the Clinton supporter deserved it. For example Some Clinton supporters posted smilies in response to posts about Clinton's role as secretary of state in the Libya disaster, and Sanders supporters rightfully called them out for that.

I don't care what they say and think but that was beyond anything I could even think up. But they are still here.

(528 posts)I and many others are not asleep and I am reading a lot about how about 20% of Dems will vote for Rump if - you know who - cheats her way into the GE. There's going to be yuge payback for the trechery the DNC DLC Turd Way have been at ...including their pet media millionaires. It's not going to be "the lessor of 2 evils" this time around. Many are going to go scorched earth this time. No they won't go third party but they will burn the Dem party by voting for Rump. It's payback time.
This is not about which party wins the GE. It's about the oligarchy ruling class over the common person. 2% vs the 98%. This is a political class war and no matter what happens in the primary or the GE there's going to be a ground up movement to unseat all the mutha fuckas who are working for the oligarchy. We've had enough of this trickle down, piss down the leg, war loving, Reagan Democrat shit.
Warning to the DNC: This is your last chance to be fair and Democratic with the common people and you are already in process of fucking us over. Stop now or there will be some real hell to pay!
"WE DON'T WANT YOU AND WE DON'T NEED YOU!" Message received. Enjoy your Rump roast.
Vote Bernie or else!
Depaysement
(1,835 posts)We will all hear this -
"If you don't vote for her, Trump wins!"
"You are denying us the first woman President!"
"Just like 2000!"
"What about the Supreme Court!?!?"
Blah, blah, blah

(404 posts)Bernie is going to take his campaign all the way to the convention. He has recently stated as much.
Those who encourage Sanders supporters to give up & give in will have to wait for July.
I could could bring up some 2008 comments from then Senator Clinton regarding things that can happen late in a race but I won't.
