Largest imaginable conflict of interest on health care? Let the people decide!

Please read the paper linked here - which shows how US health care is prevented from changing in any way that would save money - by the 1995 WTO General Agreement on Trade in Services.

This set of facts, which literally is the reason US health care is so dysfuncional, a campaighn to create faks cover stories explaining away all of the inconveient facts surrounding it has been going on since the 1990s. Its likely seriously impacting Bernie Sanders campaign. Has Bernie ever brought his up? They likely are afraid he would and win the election. Anyway, the media needs to cover this and HRC should answer questions about it and about the services part which will bring a great many new low wage workers to the US as subcontractors. Likely that is how she plans to solve the completely unnecessary, manufactured health care crisis.

Considering that Hillary Clinton is the wife of the President who signed this deal into existence, Is it too much to ask her supporters to at least get her to TALK ABOUT IT?

If not why not?

Basically, for this election to be legitimate, since it is such a big big thing, literally a plan to remake the entire workd in a privatized model, there needs to be a discussion about that (its called "progressive liberalisation")

There needs to be a discussion about the opening up of the services to cut rate foreign competition, what do we get out of it? I dont see any advantages and lots of disadvantages.

....Sigh....

There did need to be a discussion on GATS in 1995 like there was in India, last year, on education, and people need to discuss it, and at least see how it is being used to create a lock in blocking any solution, and deprive us of affordable health care and free public education when other countries that are going to be competing with Americans directly for jobs in their workplaces - and likely pushing down our wages, do have these things. Its like they are deliberately giving Americans the worst deal of all to show that they are not 'being soft on' our own people.

20 years from now, machines wll do almost everything so people need all the jobs we can, we should not be trading them away (Read about the "four modes of supply") for the pie in the sky of opening factories and branches overseas.

In short stop hiding GATS and getting a discussion out into the open about it? Whats the problem, why not?

The same goes for the media and political web sites. Web sites that stifle discussions of important issues ar part of the problem, not the solution. Please try to get other sites, media to get some discussion going about here, similar to the discussion over the last year in India about GATS forcing them to give up their consitutional right to education.

to the American people. It was a replacement to GATT but also gave away American sovereignty to the WTO, made NAFTA and other trade deals enforceable.
