Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI am asking you to DOUBLE your efforts this upcoming week.
If you are only able to work for Bernie's election at the computer, then please spend some time campaigning on social media.
Facebook
Twitter
Message boards all over the Internet
Your local newspaper comments
A zillion other places
Get away from DU and take some of the best articles and post them hither and yon on the Internet.
..............
If you are out and about your area, make copies of some of the best articles for Bernie that we have here on DU, and leave them in public places for others to see.
Dr. waiting room
bus stop
bulletin boards at supermarkets
local library
commuter train
coffee shop
etc.
...........................
Consider printing up some flyers and handing them out on a street corner. Retail politics! This gives you a chance to talk to local people and encourage them to register to vote and to VOTE.
Be sure to talk to neighbors. And shut-ins. Take them some muffins and some literature.
Dedicate one day to talking to those you encounter about Bernie, somewhere. Your exercise class. The laundromat. Church/synogogue/mosque. A retirement center. A restaurant. Go out of your way to find someone to inform.
This is what democracy is all about.
YOU can generate excitement in the land.

(50,130 posts)I am a bit ashamed of spending so much time with the "choir" here on DU. We aren't changing any minds arguing with HRC supporters here.
I will do my damndest to light that grass fire.

(50,130 posts)Are you passing out literature?
Maybe someone could post a source for obtaining leaflets to pass out.

Anyone can scroll to the bottom for pdf downloads of printer friendly flyers that can be kept in a back pocket or purse. I print them out at 4 flyers per single 8.5x11 page.
Hand them out at the drive thru window, tack them to the coupon board at the grocery store, post them at the park bulletin board. Easy and very cheap advertising for our candidate.

(1,784 posts)provides a perfect contrast to Bernie and what we're fighting for! Heck, you can use Frank and Claire as an analogy in your conversations.

Shouldn't the top thread this and every weekend be THIS?
Do we need a thread this weekend, most weekends, with lots of k/r, to remind ourselves and everyone:
"don't spend the whole weekend preaching to the choir, we must outreach to undecided and the mildly pro-Hillary folks, and keep fighting, if we want to win!"
So two questions on more specifics for the online part...Which sites have the best balance of a) large enough audience b) far away enough from "hard core Bernie" to be worth the efforts c) far away enough from "pro-Hillary to the point of wont listen no any facts, or even get you banned"
So not to hot not to cold, just right?
And the second question is about DU for those of us relatively new...can someon link to the sections that meet the second and third conditions? Where one can make solid cases and not only what's right with Bernie but what's totally dangerous about Hillary, but not not get blocked and even have a reasonable chance at some of the readers listening?
