Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI am so damn proud of Bernie Sanders and --
this whole campaign. If there ever was a David vs. Goliath political fight, this is it.
He is fighting against a political brand in the Clinton name, against a Party establishment that want him politically dead yesterday, against a media that all but ignored the entire first half of his campaign and now has actively created a narrative that he cannot win, and a tsunami of PAC $$$.
And yet, despite that, he has flourished, inspired, activated, and shown us ALL how politics can be done -- with authenticity, integrity, and passion.
Thank you to everyone who has voted for him, donated to him, and made calls/knocked on doors for him -- because when you do that for Bernie, you are doing that for ME, and for every other American who wants a better future for our country.

(22,380 posts)found this thread where I am accepted. I think your post is how I feel as well, and I'm glad I find a place where I can say it and no big yellow banner pops up and eats my words.
I have a bit of a problem with your title, just because I am female, and it's not about clichés, it's about our lives. And I love Bernie's courage and all the wonderful other adjectives you mention.
I also love that rather than interrupting he waves his arms. Saying that is what got me banned from the Hillary group.

I did not notice til now that what I called your title is not the title of your thread but your "name". I'm sorry. In that case, I fully agree.

(213 posts)I'm not religious but feel that somehow he was sent at this time to lead us to a better future. His whole life has led to this. Let's make sure we take it all the way!

It's all inter-strength stemming from truth, facts, and what is right for the people.

(14,459 posts)And it's great to see.
It's going to be a long fight- much longer than this election cycle. Still, if we win this, it could be a huge jump ahead in repairing the damage from 35 years of insanity, not unlike the SCOTUS decision reaffirming the constitutional rights of LBGTs.

(34,105 posts)While the other side is making hay with his "interruption" of HRH or telling her he is talking or whatever supposed sexist slight he dealt her and also calling him out for saying that you don't know what it is like to be poor if you are white, a slip for certain but if you have any sense of decency and/or knowledge of the man you would realize this, we are here talking about how wonderful it is to support him.
I cannot remember a time when I made such an important vote as I did yesterday. I cannot remember a time when I felt so good about who I was supporting. Kucinich was a good vote but not one that was very realistic but you have to shoot for the stars and by god one just fell into our laps and took up the cause.
I too want to thank everyone who has been working. I have not done nearly enough but with health problems here in my home I am not able to this time. Thank you all for doing what you do, I just keep sending money when we can. Maybe by the time we get to mid summer I can get out and work for him. I have no doubt in my mind that if there is anything left that is good in this world we will still be up and running.

(14,173 posts)A choice between real positive change, and a real chance for average Americans to finally get a foot up, or a continuation of the oligarchy's stranglehold on the country. And even more, establishment of irreversible damage like the TPP enacted, billions, if not trillions more thrown down the bottomless pit of the MIC, along with more wars, more deaths, and the inevitable blowback of more terrorist attacks, which leads to more wars etc..And clamp downs on the internet. Net neutrality irreversibly gone forever. The shiny new owners of the internet will be giddy with excitement as they slow down bandwidth to sites like Democratic Underground, and boost speeds to Fox News. The gap will widen as to who can even afford to get real information. Wall Street will have either someone that will reign them in, for their own good, or someone who faciilitates and excuses more of their excesses and abuse with promises of another bailout if things get "rough" again.
Its up to you!
