Example of why CNN is better for Berners than Msnbc

Last edited Tue Mar 8, 2016, 08:29 PM - Edit history (1)

Finally turned on the tv - out of habit turned on Msnbc. MTP daily.
Chucky - Bernie has to win Michigan tonite if he doesn't, he has nowhere to go.
Let's talk to Kasie Hunt our Bernie correspondent. Kasie how is it going? Well they are hoping to close the gap here in Michigan. If they don't I don't know what they will do.

Change the channel! Turn on CNN - it's Wolf Blitzer!!! ehhhh....
Wolf - 2 new polls came out today showing that the race on the Democratic side is tightening nationally. Let's go to Jeff Zeleny covering the Bernie campaign. Jeff - Bernie should be having a good showing today in MI because exit polls are showing voters are angry about the trade deals & that is one of Bernie's main campaign points. And voter turnout is very high.
Wolf - that should be concerning for Hillary.

Then they interviewed a Republican that said he has been a republican all his life, but this year he is voting for Bernie.

There ya go. In a nutshell.

Msnbc = Doom and Gloom for Bernie
CNN = Bernie is a viable candidate

Just wanted to share.

Edit to add - I can't believe I forgot - Chuck said that Hillary pointing out that Bernie voted against the auto bailout is going to hurt him.
Wolf Blitzer, yes that Wolf, said Hillary's comments were not quite true when that issue came up!

8. God forbid I should sound like I am defending Mitchell, but I think she just likes to get everyone.

It is as if the "reporters" on MSNBC have been told to bend over backwards to show how non-progressive they really are. I think they are basically just shills though. An honest journalist would not tolerate that, I don't care what the stakes are.

Thanks for posting that. I can't stomach cable news so good to hear reports from the dark side. You are very brave

12. MSNBC has become an extension of Hillary's political operation on the Democratic side

Chuck Todd said that Bernie's speech after Super Tuesday was basically a concession speech. Todd isn't just partial to Clinton, he's actively working to advance false narratives and tear down Bernie.

CNN can be almost tolerable at times, but then on election nights or after debates I look up and there's a panel that includes Paul Begala, David Gergen (who some think of as a Republican but forget worked for Bill Clinton during his first term) and Donna Brazile and I am reminded of why they used to be known as the Clinton News Network.

And for somebody who has been around forever, the next political insight I get from Gloria Borger of CNN will be the first.

MSNBC in a week..same old bogus SD numbers and 'Bernie's Last Stand' and NO mention of his 8 victories and 2 ties..

Then I found this on the Intercept...

https://theintercept.com/2016/02/25/tv-pundits-praise-hillary-clinton-on-air-fail-to-disclose-financial-ties-to-her-campaign/

“Journalism 101 teaches that reporters and TV news hosts must properly identify their sources and analysts,” says Jeff Cohen, an associate professor of journalism at Ithaca College. We reached out to NBC, CBS, CNN, and ABC News, but did not hear back.

Stephanie Cutter, for example, has appeared on multiple networks to discuss Clinton, and is typically introduced as a former campaign official for President Barack Obama. What hasn’t been disclosed in any of her appearances reviewed by The Intercept, however, is that the boutique consulting firm she co-founded, Precision Strategies, has been retained by the Clinton campaign for “digital consulting,” according to Federal Election Commission records. Precision Strategies has been paid at least $120,049 from the Clinton campaign since June of last year.

“I think that Hillary Clinton has done everything right. She has run a good campaign. She has outperformed in debates. She’s raised money. She’s got a great ground game,” said Cutter, speaking about the upcoming New Hampshire and Iowa primaries on NBC’s Meet the Press on January 17. She was introduced as “President Obama’s 2012 deputy campaign manager.” Her company’s affiliation with the Clinton campaign was not disclosed."
