Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumBernie just said something about winning half of the delegates.
On ABC news, it went by very fast, but this is a paraphrase of what happened:
Reporter; Do you think you can still win a majority of the delegates.
Bernie; We're in this to win but if we get half of the delegates that's ok.
This jibes with my theory that Bernie's plan is to win enough delegates (about 42%) to keep Clinton from clinching the nomination with only pledged delegates. If Bernie can win half of the pledged delegates then he has the chance to convince the super delegates that he is the strongest candidate for the GE.
So no matters what happens tonight or next Tuesday, we can't give up.

(975 posts)8. I don't think so. The story was about how he could win the nomination,...
the question was asked in that context.

(6,145 posts)7. That's his plan I believe. Make Clinton use her superdelegates to force a win on the floor.
If she has a scandal or legal crisis between now and the convention those superdelegates will have to reconsider their votes.
