Ok I just watched the CNN video re: the disruption at Trump's rally

and I previously posted a MoveOn FB link and email regarding the disruption. I'm not so sure this is a good thing. Now Trump supporters can feel free to show up at Bernie's rallies and wreak fucking havoc. Ultimately Trump bears the blame for this but guys, the Law of Unintended Consequences could apply here.

I am glad to see people fighting back and... I'll be happy to be proved wrong. It was my gut reaction. Trump supporters could have shown up to a Sanders event already. It's just that I'm concerned about tit-for-tat retaliation.

If this happens, it happens. Something big is brewing. The establishment refuses to see it. Violence may sadly erupt. I hope not but I won't be surprised if and when it does.

It's okay to be "yikes" about it. But yeah, I don't think our forefathers or ancestors had a jolly good time being apart of any type of revolution. They did it for the cause they knew to be true in their hearts.

I have no doubt that there is fear involved in that. But I think my love for my fellow man trumps fear. My love for this nation to not succumb to hatred will trump any fear I could have.

This is bigger than us.

Democracy is scary. Keep it spirited and non-violent. A clash of ideas is a good thing. We've given them succor far too long. Its time to show the numbers in the street.

My second was that he knew before he arrived that he would be canceling the speech/rally.

If these were truly Bernie supporters who were looking for a fight, I wish that wouldn't have happened. I remember 1968 and it was a bad scene. Let's not get to that point ever again.

Most of Trump supporters are tough guys in crowd when they are supported by a few hundred of them. They are following Trump because he is the Alpha male and they are Betas. They like someone telling them what to think and leading them.

They would never start anything surround by 1000s of Sanders supporters.

Emotions were running high, Trump had set the stage, cameras were rolling. Mostly just yelling, pushing, shoving, and a few punches thrown. Just a few minor injuries.

The police were restrained in their response. All in all, more symbolic than frightening. I've probably seen worse involving high school sports rivals.
