I've worked in the field for over thirty years and the current temperature rises are at the extreme high end of the prediction models. We CANNOT ignore the problem - we must take drastic action NOW if we give a damn about our children and future generations!
Bernie Sanders is the ONLY candidate we can trust to do the right thing with this life threatening, civilization threatening disaster.

(10,794 posts)I pulled out a copy of An Inconvenient Truth to check some things last week and I was not surprised to see pretty much exactly what was forecast at that time. That was 10 years ago now people! Imagine what might have been done during 10 years if we hadn't had to fight Big Business and our own Congress.
It's taken this long to agree it MIGHT be more important than gas, oil, corporate pollution, beef farms and whatever else produces the noxious gases that will continue to produce an increasingly inhospitable climate and habitat for humans and animals alike.
I'm so sad about how much progress has been denied and delayed by our own government since Y2K.
