Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumNYTimes quietly hacks its own positive Sanders article *after* publication - turns it into a smear.
The New York Times has quietly (and extensively) revised a history of Senator Bernie Sanders legislative accomplishments, initially published on Monday morning under the glowing headline, Bernie Sanders Scored Victories for Years via Legislative Side Door, which eventually became the far more reserved Via Legislative Side Doors, Bernie Sanders Won Modest Victories and, in print, the even more ambivalent Sanderss Roster of Modest Wins.
The revisions were first noted by Medium blogger The Broken Ravioli (emphasis theirs):
Written by congressional reporter Jennifer Steinhauer, the article reflects on the Senators strategy for legislative accomplishments over the past 25 years often passing new measures by attaching them to larger bills.
By Monday afternoon once many people, including Sanders himself, had already shared the article widely on social media and other sites the Times evidently rewrote rather significant portions of the article. (No mention has been made anywhere that the article was retroactively altered.) Several new paragraphs were injected, while other wording was subtly changed to shift the praiseful tone of the article to one of shrugging ambivalence toward Sanderss accomplishments.

The changes made were so derogatory to Sanders that you just knew that behind the scenes, heads were rolling and the knives had come out for Bernie from somewhere outside. It was very telling, very creepy.

After over 50 years of the Times being my paper of recored I'm finished with it. Thank the Gods for all the non-MSM information and news sites available.
Good bye NYT.

There's not much I would have put past them, but taking instructions from the Clinton campaign and altering a story that was already published is not something I would have believed. We live in a society of institutions that are pretty much corrupt from top to bottom.
