(13,685 posts)The whole thing of being kicked to the curb for an arbitrary 5 hides was too extreme.
Having been just stalked in the past I know whereof I speak.

(23,867 posts)Maybe I'm not so evil after all, I'm thinking to myself.
I have not even seen the Skinner statement yet, but this is sounding hopeful.
Sorry about the stalkage.

(13,685 posts)I survived. I had my own fan club for awhile. Don't miss them.
There are others who have gathered up some fans, tho, and maybe now they can be free?

(17,651 posts)Put on delay.
Honestly I thought it a ridiculous request to do that with so many people not even having the opportunity to vote yet.
Speaks volumes.
I am glad there is no 'purging', but did not enjoy reading the post very much. :/

(13,685 posts)Disgusting to read the calls for purges. It's like they hate DU!
Glad Skinner put an end to those calls.

(5,668 posts)starting to cause some panic in my system.
and I'd been operating on that assumption since December when I got banned of the Hillary group. That helped alot. otherwise the ball would blow up eventually.

(45,850 posts)there's a reason the Hillary people on time out have been released it's because they troll Bernie supporters, IMO it is make DU very hostile to us

Not all of them are like that but there are several who are obvious.

(11,785 posts)There are some DUers who spend so much time on vacation that I haven't bothered to ignore them.
PatrynXX
(5,668 posts)and should have been when DU3 started
"And also we are not going to feature discussion threads on the DU homepage if they are posted in the General Discussion: Primaries forum, or in either of the two primary candidate supporters' groups. We are no longer interested in featuring the most divisive content on the front page of this website. "
so of course where do I go. Well here naturally thats the problem right now these discussions go to the front page sometimes. Well of course it is and it's counter productive. And alot more stressful than it needs to be because having a conversation with a room full of Hillary Supporters who possibly listen to Faux ( I physically know alot of them that do---- or is that personally) so their views are slanted in the WTF area , can't get a responder not knowing he's replying to a Hillary group in a heap of shit. eep
Now I can go back to that page as my bookmark, had to change it to keep from being inundated with posts by people in my ignore..

(1,290 posts)The poster in question is a troll, and I have often wondered if they aren't here to make Hillary look bad. The fact that Hillary supporters embraced that poster is really odd to me, considering they make blatantly false statements with no attachment to reality.
995 of Hillary supporters are fine. But DU should be better able to figure out who the trolls are.

(12,471 posts)of agitators, don't they?
Isn't that the list that Camp Weathervane keeps of the members banned from their group?
Don't you think that the admins here, who are Clinton supporters had those people on a watch list, and those folks could disappear at any time?
They are coming to get each of us on the "Camp Weathervane List of Bernie Supporters."

(46,585 posts)DU even waited until Hillary finally conceded several days later, all this in deference to her. After March 2008, there was no mathematical chance for her to win, yet DU's rules regarding the primary election remained intact and were enforced.
Now DU is changing the rules to accommodate Hillary/supporters yet again, inferring the primary is over. The DNC front-loaded the primary with Hillary-favorable states. I have read several analyses pinpointing March 15th as the high mark in delegate advantage for her. Now that Bernie-favorable states are on deck to vote, DU is changing the rules.
Doesn't surprise me, really. The DU admin has been actively promoting her candidacy from the beginning. Resurrecting zombie posters who are constantly breaking DU rules of civility further erodes the long-held DU philosophy and rules. The coronation is in progress and the message is get the f#ck out of the way.
The Democratic Party is set to put forward the weakest candidate by far in my lifetime. The Republicans have a warehouse-full of attacks ready based on her dodgy record and inconsistencies. She has indictment hanging over her head and regardless of the cavalier dismissal of that here at DU, it is a real possibility. She is barely ahead of Trump in polling and loses badly to the other GOP contenders. And if by chance she makes it to the White House, they will move for impeachment immediately. This kind of drama will be constant as it was in the 1990s.
I will not vote for Hillary in the GE. I am appalled by her record and in particular her record at the State Department. Rather than using that opportunity to build a solid foreign policy record, she became an arms broker, the middleman between countries on the human rights watch list and the military industrial complex. The Clinton Foundation functioned as money launderer. She put her neoliberal thumb on the scale in Iraq, Libya, Honduras, Haiti, and Syria as war profiteer.
My hope is that a viable third party arises, but too late for this election cycle unfortunately. Bernie's candidacy that very likely would have soared as a third party entry is being suffocated by the Democratic Party in favor of a deeply flawed, severely compromised candidate. I will with no joy in my heart end up saying I told you so.

(11,546 posts)I know that the admins support her and I have never had a doubt in my mind that they would but to try and change the rules MID primary season just further proves that people have it out for Bernie. He is too strong and ascended too quickly (well, if you call 35 years quickly!!) in this season. He has come too close to knocking her off of her thrown and that scares the bejeezus out of some people.
"She has indictment hanging over her head and regardless of the cavalier dismissal of that here at DU, it is a real possibility" - the main guy investigating this at the FBI is a Republican. Hmmm... I wonder WHEN they would like for his investigation to come out and go for a grand jury indictment??
She is a dirty, dirty politician for sure. I do not see the appeal to normal everyday people.

(11,945 posts)Some appear to have psychological problems of the personality disorder variety. Others do an amazingly convincing imitation of paid operatives. Some smell like Republicans.
They add nothing. Let's put them on ignore. If we ignore them, they get fewer "views" and less validation -- at least from us.
Granted, we then have blind spots on GD-P, and that could be a strategic disadvantage. If we could be aware of them without directly responding to them, perhaps that would work, providing they don't drive our blood pressure/stomach churnings up too high.
Maybe we need a strategy session on dealing with them?

(11,945 posts)1) All of our currently timed out good peeps are coming back, and I'VE MISSED THEM. Cali in particular stands out for all her excellent OPs and constant hides and time outs. So glad to have that over with for everyone.
2) Some Bernistas have found my frequent nagging about comments that might get them hides rather irritating. WELL NOW I CAN STOP! I won't nag you any more!! Please forgive my mother-henning!
I just didn't want to lose you. Okay?
3) It has been agonizing to watch some of our strongest commenters, battlers, and OP writers walk on eggshells to avoid alert stalkers. You know who you are. How great to be able to read your unabridged thoughts again.
But everyone must be very careful to avoid even joking about Trump or comparing him favorably, no matter how tongue in cheek, to youknowho.
Hugs to all! We are DU's absolute best. We also America's best. Fact.

(528 posts)Unity between what? The "real" Democratic party and the Third Way? Well ain't that special. They can use that "Democratic" label but the contents are quite astray from the FDR party. IMO judging by Hillary's southern firewall I'd call those southern Democrat voters Dixiecrats. If Bernie joins or backs Hillary I will never believe anything any politician ever says again. War is in our future and more jobs will be leaving. We'll be lucky if SS doesn't get thrown under the bus. Meanwhile the millennial's will be screwed and banksters will continue to run ruff shod over the population. Got a college loan? Yer Fucked! Sorry but war will trump everything else that is needed. The Republicans who hate Hillary much more than they hate Obama will continue to do what they do best ...obstruct everything. Business as usual.
