Content

Is disappearing quickly. Those who I love to read here are being ppr'd or silenced. I am at DU frequently, but seldom post, typically only during elections. There are now nearly 1000 members over at JPR and many of them are donors and writers who had formerly written and posted here. Now they are there.

I am not sure how you can purge a site of content that people love to follow, opening the door to a new place where many will simply go to read what they enjoy and remain viable as a business. Once this election cycle is over, where will that leave this place? My guess not in great shape and since the people I enjoy reading are mostly gone, I honestly don't give a fuck. I know where to find them.

the DemocraticUnderground.com all to themselves. They will have a fantastic echo chamber very akin to what free republic and Fox have done for the Republicans.

I just got hidden for saying that Bill Clinton illegally entered polling places. It's a fact, yet the alerter seemed to think you can't say anything negative about Bill because he is a Democrat - apparently 4 people agreed.

How would anyone post anything of length without offending the delicate sensibilities of Hillary supporters?

If you can't criticize your party and identify its faults, then it will never get better. Those that want to ignore faults and poor behavior just let it grow within the party until it becomes something entirely different from any honorable beginnings.

I suppose it's what they want. Fine, let them stew in their own juices.

An outed anti-Semite, who has done nothing but sew discontent and encourage others to pile. They didn't just get a free pass after being outed, they were able to post a half apology, where they go on to attack people on the same thread, deny actions after confronted with them, and refuse to apologize to entire groups for broad brush accusations. Anyone else would have been PRRd for a fraction of what I've seen. I'm trying to understand the double standard. Does skinner and earlg approve of the other behavior? The harassment and abuse has been terrifying to watch. I don't even like to engage, because of the onslaught. I've been here 12 years, and I thought MIRT handled this kind of thing. I'm just stunned, and taken back right now at how the site has failed. This is beyond the alert system. We now know without any doubt we have all been trolled, and yet nothing has been done.
