I saw something about this on another blog- Evidently lots of people were turned away in Illinois earlier, and if they want to vote, they can today?

(1,573 posts)...but I believe this only applies to those precincts that ran out of ballots. Googling doesn't get much on this, so they're obviously not publicizing this much.

(88 posts)website that I copied just now. So, about 3000 citizens were denied their right to vote.
"Thus, despite our best efforts, it appears that those who were unable to vote on March 15 due to lack of available ballots will not be able to do so in any extended voting process," Barnard said in a brief statement.
Barnard filed a response late Monday afternoon to overturn the court's ruling approved Friday at the request of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Madigan sought the appeal after Circuit Judge Chet Vahle refused to reverse an injunction he had ordered the day before that would have allowed five extra days of voting this week.

This could just be complete incompetence by a public official and hopefully the last he gets to make, but these folks will not soon forget that they were disenfranchised.
