Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWord on the vine regarding Wisconsin is...
there are a TON of early votes coming in... most of them favoring Bernie Sanders!!!
I would take this with a heavy grain of salt, though... this came from a friend who has another friend who processes early voter ballots in the state.
Realistically, that places this firmly in the realm of rumor... but I can't help but feel hopeful!

(53,475 posts)... to the enthusiasm Bernie has generated here in Wisconsin.
Russ Feingold is probably the gold standard for turning out Dems at public speech events here, but Bernie events get that type of turnout even when Bernie isn't there!!!
And when it comes to volunteering .... the numbers we've had volunteer for Bernie are right up there with the Walker recall effort in 2011. At that time we had 30,000 volunteers circulating petitions across the state. Our local turnouts for Bernie have been right with the numbers we had turn out locally for the recall effort. If that holds true across the state, Bernie's gonna win here.

(631 posts)As I recall, they stood for hours (for days during the protests) in sub-zero weather during the recount.
Voting for Bernie is a picnic by comparison.
Go Wisconsin!

These neighborhoods generally lean republican 2-1. But there are also usually yard signs for both parties and often for independent candidates.
It really leaves me without a sense of feeling for the locality.

(5,075 posts)I voted early. But no one knows for whom except me. The envelopes are not opened until Election Day. Then they are run through the tabulator with all the others. So how does anyone know which way the early vote is going? A secret poll?
