A not-mentioned change on DU?

I may be wrong, or missed the announcement, so am asking the question. Does it appear that the owners of a certain website are now getting nervous that the Democratic-aspects of a certain website are a little too much so?

It seemed to happen without mention (forgive me if I am incorrect) but apparently media/video posts (which ironically are usually direct caught-on-tape examples of real issues, recorded for all to see) are no longer going to be appearing on the homepage if they receive high # of rec's... you be the judge.

I'm just asking questions so maybe I am entirely wrong. But you can see what posts are listed in greatest, by vote, and those that are not showing up on the homepage of greatest. To me, this can only mean one thing. We got Hillary on the run, and her own recorded video record has proved too much for even those that claim to be supporting democratic ideals.

"You know, it's a curiosity"

current home page greatest - jumps from 111 to 86 stars

appears that 'Videos & Multimedia' now excluded - no 106, or 98 stars

Nibbling around the edges of democracy... ? Just wondering. Cuz sometimes you don't notice they've been there until you see the droppings on the floor.

1. Earlier this month, DU's owners decided that GD:Primary posts won't appear on Greatest.

This was at the same time they gave amnesty to all the Clinton supporters who were on timeout.

The intention is, obviously, to make DU seem more Clinton-friendly. DU's owners have a financial interest in maintaining that pretense.

I thought they'd at least have a post somewhere announcing the change, but not sure I missed it

Hillary videos are proof of all the flips and flops, whereas Bernie videos reinforce consistency

probably figured it was a no-lose proposition to drop it from the 'Greatest' because of that fact. It's like the cops telling you to 'turn off that camera' because videos are one of the greatest offerings of proof to any issue.

8. I think it's a matter of 2 different "snapshots" of trending time...(home-page and greatest)

If we recc the next two highest videos in the greatest line-up, we can see if they show up on home-page (?)

I'm just guessing, because I don't ever look at the home-page.

from the "primary forum" were excluded from the home-page. That's why people need to recc more of the video forum to see what happens on the home-page (neutral topics, for example)

it's a private board, they can do what they like, but I'm guessing some people would say it is bad for business to call yourself 'Democratic' and then act in a way that runs counter to that description. Some people might even call it mislabeled goods.

I'm not too concerned, would rather devote more time directly on YouTube where there is no censorship & tens of thousands of views to be generated within days to open-minded eyes. I'm thinking DU's cake has already baked and no one is going to change their positions at this point.

But thanks for the info!
