I think Bernie is within at the most 5-7 points.
Also, keep in mind that Bernie is a native New Yorker. And he clearly is a New Yorker- in all of the best ways- he doesn't beat around the bush. he gets things done. He's also been elected a great many times to a great many offices. And generally, Republicans who have worked with him respect and in many cases like him. He's not devious. he puts his cards on the table.
He's a bridge builder.
Hillary is not. not even close. Nor is she really a New Yorker except as a "flag of convenience".
Lots of people come from all around the planet to live in new york and once there they mingle, does Hillary spend much time in NYC? I don't recall seeing her show up in the NY media in the way she would if she was.

(14,691 posts)in 1999. He set up an office in Harlem in 2001 but 10 years later moved the Foundation part to the Financial District. So, he has two offices in Manhattan. Her Campaign HQ is in an affluent part of Brooklyn but she doesn't have an office there. She rents 7 offices in a bldg near Times Sq. So when she's in NYC she's in midtown.

(1,573 posts)...so not a shabby outfit. Siena College (also not a shabby outfit) showed him 21 points behind on March 7th. And here on the ground in NY, there's no one talking about her, even party people I know. No enthusiasm at all.
Edited to add link to Siena poll:

(41,600 posts)Since he wiped out her WI lead in a matter of 2-3 days, he'll take the lead in NY when he starts barnstorming the state. He has 3 weeks to do that!
Go NY!
THAT would be the sweetest win of all.
