(99,607 posts)Bernies page use Act Blue too. Click the donate link and it goes to Act Blue. This just shows how much DUers have raised on their own.
https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/duforbernie
All of your donation except the transact cost from the credit card goes to Bernie. Tips to help maintane Act Blue are optional.
I had to raise the first goal already. That was in only 7 hours of being online late at night.

(45,251 posts)last time I heard him say that, raising $1.5 million in 24 hours is impressive. Still, it's a drop in the bucket.

You will see a search bar first, I think. Then, you will see submit a new link. Then you will see a heading that says Sanders for President. Just below that is smaller bar you can click to subscribe or unsubscribe.

(3,247 posts)I was just thinking this morning that the Sanders candidacy could help change the often-ugly dynamics at DU. How often have we seen disdainful references to progressives as a "crowd"-- the Snowdenista, Greenwald fan club, emoprog, etc. crowd? This always annoyed me in the past, because the disdain seemed directed by what looked more like a "cadre" of authoritarians, coordinating attacks on specific members, threadstalking, alertswarming, two-minute hating, etc. Party disciplinarians vs. the "unfaithful," targeted with particular scornful terms.
But they have a point. We ARE a crowd, and they're something else. If these reddit numbers are any indication, the unorganized and diverse "crowd" is finding its voice in Bernie.

(14,570 posts)About the people. He's got my support, because I'm sick of voting for politicians who SAY they have my interest at heart but actually promote the interests of the 1%. I was disappointed in Obama because he took single payer off the table, and made the ACA, which is admittedly a step forward, but really is a giant corporate welfare program for insurance companies. We STILL have rationed healthcare, with our treatment dictated by the desire to keep costs down instead of what we actually need. And now this new 'free trade' agreement, the TPP. Why so secret? Why not publish it so the people can see it? Why? Because the only thing it strongly supports, in spite of the Administration's rhetoric to the contrary, is big multinational corporations. From what I've read (thanks WikiLeaks!), it allows corporations to challenge local environmental regulations in corporate-funded international tribunals. It also undermines organized labor, and is BAD for the American people.

(9,126 posts)of the Greatest page last night to show that the "crowd" of progressives here is by far the largest. The scolders are far fewer but have the time apparently to go and derail as many threads as possible. Their new rallying cry is that Sanders' supporters are "too mean" which is the very definition of irony.
I, and many others here, were accused of being "purists" and that we would "never find a candidate that was good enough." Well, isn't that funny, WE DID.
