Press Conference: Sanders Sets Up For Convention Battle: I'm 'Stronger Candidate’ Against Trump

ByKATHERINE KRUEGER Published JUNE 6, 2016, 2:38 PM EDT

One day before the California primary, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said it’s “absolutely imperative” voters turn out to defeat Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump and cast himself as the candidate best positioned to beat Trump.

“It is absolutely imperative that we defeat Donald Trump as a candidate for President of the United States. I believe I'm the stronger candidate,” Sanders told reporters in San Francisco on Monday.

He also called it “incomprehensible” that the presumptive nominee from a major political party is launching racially-charged attacks targeting a federal judge.

“[Trump] is essentially running his campaign on bigotry, on insulting Mexicans and Latinos, on insulting Muslims, on insulting African-Americans, on insulting women,” Sanders said.

I'm in freakin' Idaho. If it's Hillary, I guarantee you Trump takes the state. I could see Bernie getting out the vote and having a chance though. If we have anyone strong running for Congress, which may not be the case, it could make a difference.

It was 2000 that we elected Walt "DINO" Minnick. Then the dumbshit voted against the ACA and actually ran ads bragging about it! I could have told him that wouldn't work. Republicans weren't going to say, "so he's a Democrat. He does everything we want, let's vote for him." Nope. They want their own guy in there that helps them control the House. All he managed to do was piss off people that would have voted for him.
