(300 posts)Do this right fucking now. Go to the mirror. Look yourself in the eye. And say "This is my democracy and I will fight to the very end for it."

(3,544 posts)After today's shenanigans, I will pencil his name in if I have to. The media has no idea what they just did. They just put Trump in there. This election will now turn into the lowest voter turnout EVER!!!! And Dems lose when no one votes.
What's so weird is that the HRC supporters are so blind to this.

(4,711 posts)It just wouldn't be right for her to end it on anything less than a note of utterly contemptible sleaze. I'm eager for this primary to end at this point just so I can wash my hands of it entirely. Whatever happens after that point, it's not my concern any longer.

Grandson read about the "announcement", and assumed it was a dirty trick, when I told him it was not true. We will both be changing to "non-affiliated", if Hillary is the nominee. he did say hey we will of course be voting down ticket, right?
And, if Hillary is the nominee, i don't know why I would want to be at DU, so it makes me laugh to think Hillary supporters are gleefully looking forward to some sort of purge. What's more important - principles and issues, or a website? What could I possibly post that is good about Hillary? Damned if I can think of anything, given her record and her stances.
I trashed HRC, Hillary, and Clinton a year ago. Of course, I still get a lot of stuff about her, but it reduces the load of irrelevance.
I will be leaving her trashed, and add Trump.

(15,587 posts)"This is the perfect symbolic ending to the Democratic Party primary. The nomination is consecrated by a media organization, on a day when nobody voted, based on secret discussions with anonymous establishment insiders and donors whose identity the media organization incredibly conceals. ... for a party run by insiders and funded by corporate interests, its only fitting that their nomination process ends with such an ignominious, awkward and undemocratic sputter. ... That the Democratic Party nominating process is declared to be over in such an uninspiring, secretive, and elite-driven manner is perfectly symbolic of what the party, and its likely nominee, actually is." Well said Mr. Greenwald!
